to Friends of the Higher Line, to support the upkeep of, as well as public access

to, the actual rail back yards section of the Higher Line, the third and last section of the

acclaimed New York City recreation area. The challenge give to Buddies of the High Line

had been announced within June 2011 at the recognized opening of Section Two of the High

million users frequented the recreation area. To date, the High Line has welcomed more than four

Friends of the High Line's vision is perfect for a complete High Line, open to the

public from Gansevoort Street all the way to 34th Street. The Rail Yards

(Section 3) starts from West 30th Street and wraps round the rail back yards at 12th

Avenue descending to walk out at Western 34th. Friends of the High Lines are

working to preserve the High Line at the West Side Train Yards as well as transform it

into an extraordinary and inspiring public space.



The building blocks has been a top funder of Friends of the Higher Line because 2007,

supporting its initial campaign and providing ongoing support with regard to maintenance

and operations, to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Higher Line. This particular
